I have been looking around the forum and on other sites (PvXWiki/GwG) and I haven't been able to find the definitive R/Rt Splinter/Barrage build, can someone please post the build, I have all the GW games so acquiring skills will not be a problem, also a nice trapper build or ranger related farming build would be very much appreciated as well. Many thanks in advance to those who post, helpful things!!!

Edit: why would you have barrage and volley on same bar.....come on now what a wasted skill slot.

Any other build that doesn't require getting ranks to use skills???

Just replace the rank skills with spikes or such.

[nightmare weapon] + [triple shot] is supposed to be able to deliver a good spike but I personally feel iffy about 10 second recharge.

Also, [flesh of my flesh] instead of [resurrection signet]?

I really don't get why you would put Splinter on a Ranger bar. Surely somewhere in your build you have a X/Rt or Rt/X with Splinter? If you don't - you probably should.

Because you can never get enough Splinter Weapon. With Barrage, he won't be able to keep it up on you fast enough, or if he's a hero, there's a chance he'll be spamming it on minions or monks.

Here's my vanq setup (with typical nec hero builds):

[barrage][finish him][distracting shot][splinter weapon][pain inverter][flesh of my flesh][nightmare weapon][triple shot]

[jagged bones][animate bone minions][death nova][blood of the master][signet of lost souls][aegis][protective spirit][extinguish]

[weapon of remedy][mend body and soul][protective was kaolai][spirit light][splinter weapon][life][signet of lost souls][death pact signet]

3rd hero depends on the situation.

For non-reputation skills i'd take something like:
[barrage][antidote signet][distracting shot][splinter weapon][flesh of my flesh][lightning reflexes][nightmare weapon][dual shot]

[barrage][warmonger's weapon][splinter weapon] is also very effective in areas like Frostmaw's if you have 2 Ranger and alternate who warmonger's first and second, since you're already investing heavily in channeling anyways.

I usually have 2 rt's with high channeling splinter on my team, but I also have 2 physicals besides me. 3 people with splinter on them > 2 people with splinter on them. X/Rt's don't have any real advantage over R/Rt's, they won't be getting any more hits per cast so even if the X/Rt has 12 channeling compared to a R/Rt's 10, it won't increase damage much.

Besides, the whole Splinter Barrage fad started with pugs, where everyone knows rits are baed. Good luck getting a rit accepted into pugs unless you are the leader.

Heroes don't put splinter on minions, at least the won't if you have physicals in your party. They also only put it on casters if the casters are wielding martial weapons, so its your call what to equip them with.
